Researchers and external associates on project „HELA – Improving HEI maturity to implement learning analytics“ are working diligently on activities related to the second project phase, which started in March 2022 and will last until August 2023. The main focus of this phase is the development of a maturity framework for the implementation of learning analytics (LA) in higher education institutions (HEI). The team is also set to produce 10 conference papers and 6 papers that will be sent for publishing in journals.

It is worth mentioning that in the first 6 months of the second phase, the project team prepared 8 conference papers, some of which were presented at conferences: LAK, MIPRO, INTED, KOI and CECIIS. Along with conference papers, a research paper was accepted for publishing in Henry Stewart Publications - Advances in Online Education.

Amongst other project activities, a project meeting and a focus group with renowned experts were held as part of the CECIIS 2022 conference in Dubrovnik. Read more on this here.

Project team leader, Prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, Ph.D., and project co-leader, Prof. Diana Šimić, Ph.D., are currently planning an online focus group with experts which will be held by December 2022. and an onsite focus group, work meeting and workshop which will be held by March 2023.
 

By the end of the second project phase (August 2023), the HELA project team is expected to achieve the following results:

D2.1. Developed guidelines for ethical and pedagogically sound LA respecting privacy and personal data

D2.5. Developed LA adoption maturity framework (LAAMF) for blended educational environment in HE

D2.6. A developed set of instruments for operationalization of LA adoption maturity

D2.11. A developed model infrastructure for implementation of LA in a blended educational environment in a HEI

D2.12. Developed LA models with accompanying use case descriptions using metadata descriptors
