Member of the HELA project team, Prof. Sandra Lovrenčić, Ph.D. presented the research paper "How Well Students Perceive Their Understanding of Logic Programming Course Content?" which was prepared within the second period of the HELA project, at the 46th International Convention on Information, Communication and Electronic Technology (MIPRO 2023).

This year's International Convention MIPRO takes place from 22 to 25 May 2023, in Opatija. The theme for this year is "ICT for smart and green present and future", and the programme includes as many as 16 conferences, 2 forums, 2 seminars, 2 round tables and a workshop. The programme of the event is available here.

Research paper „How Well Students Perceive Their Understanding of Logic Programming Course Content?“  which was presented within the convention, is the result of research conducted in the second project period of HELA, which lasts from March 2022 to August 2023. The main focus of past and future research is to develop a framework of maturity for the implementation of learning analytics (LA) in higher education institutions (HEI), which includes: developed guidelines for ethical and pedagogically sound LA respecting privacy and personal data, developed LA adoption maturity framework (LAAMF) for blended educational environment in HE, a developed set of instruments for operationalization of LA adoption maturity, a developed model infrastructure for implementation of LA in a blended educational environment in a HEI, developed LA models with accompanying use case descriptions using metadata descriptors.

The four-year research project IP-2020-02-5071 HELA, which started on March 1, 2021, is funded by the Croatian Science Foundation, with a budget of € 103,023.00. The leader of the project is Prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, Ph.D. and the co-leader is Prof. Diana Šimić, Ph.D. The main purpose of the project is to contribute to a better understanding and optimization of the learning and teaching process supported by learning analytics through improving higher-educational institution maturity to implement LA. Within the project, a maturity framework for implementing learning analytics in a hybrid learning environment will be developed.
