Member of the HELA project team, Ivan Kekez, M. Econ. presented the research paper "Learning Analytics Frameworks: A Review of Challenges and Practices in Higher Education", at the 34th CECIIS - Central European Conference on Information and Intelligent Systems conference (CECIIS 2023). The research paper was prepared within the second period of the HELA project, and it is co-authored with the co-leader of the project, Prof. Diana Šimić, Ph.D.

The CECIIS 2023 conference was held from 20 to 22 September 2023 in Dubrovnik. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, with the help of University of Dubrovnik and partners – Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb and Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University Osijek. The theme of this year's conference is "DIGITAL HUMAN".

The paper "Learning Analytics Frameworks: A Review of Challenges and Practices in Higher Education" is the result of research conducted in the second project period, which lasted from March 2022 to August 2023. Presenting this paper at the CECIIS conference is also one of the first activities with which the HELA research team started the last phase of the project. One of the authors of the work is Ivan Kekez,M. Econ., who is the winner of a research scholarship in the amount of almost € 8,000.00  awarded under the HELA project, and it covers tuition for doctoral studies and the preparation of a dissertation whose topic will be related to the project.

A poster of project results that have been accomplished in the first half of the project was also presented as part of the conference project section. 

Research project (IP-2020-02-5071) "HELA – Improving HEI maturity to implement learning analytics", is funded by the Croatian Science Foundation. The value of the project is € 103,023.43, with a duration of 4 years. More information about project aim, activities and results can be found here.
