On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, the project team of the four-year research project HELA – " Improving HEI maturity to implement learning analytics“ held a meeting to coordinate activities in the final phase of the project. The team is currently focused on validating the developed maturity framework and infrastructure model for the implementation of learning analytics (LA) in higher education institutions (HEIs).
The project leader, Prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, Ph.D., presented the team members with the objectives to be achieved by the end of the last year of the project. These goals include identifying use cases in a hybrid environment, developing a maturity model for implementing LA in a hybrid setting, and creating use cases for LA.
To achieve these objectives, the project team members plan to conduct field research and workshops at three Croatian and four European universities. In addition to field research, numerous courses and the dissemination of project results at conferences such as the International Statistical Conference in Croatia (ISCRO), Learning Analytics&Knowledge Conference (LAK), and European Conference on Technology-Enhanced Learning (EC-TEL) are planned.
During the evaluation of the second project period by the Croatian Science Foundation, the HELA project was recognized for its significant contribution to research papers published at international and domestic conferences and journals. The project team aims to continue this success in the final period with the planned presentation of five conference papers and seven research papers in scientific journals.
The research project (IP-2020-02-5071) "HELA – Improving HEI maturity to implement learning analytics" is funded by the Croatian Science Foundation. The project's value is €103,023.43, with a duration of four years. The third and final phase of the project runs from September 1, 2023, to February 28, 2025.
